A Message from John "Buffer" O'Hanley:

To the coaches and players of the 2nd and 3rd Nor'Wester men's teams

Gentlemen! I share in your disappointment after losing the Provincial Final on Saturday. The previous weekend was one of celebration after winning an ERU championship for the first time in over twenty long years. That was a tremendous accomplishment and you should all hold your heads high with pride. We'll get back up, dust ourselves off, reload, and go after the Alberta Rugby Union championship again next season with even more determination.

We also have to take a long term view, and as we look down the road the future looks very bright. Three years ago the second and third men's teams won only three games in total. This year we played in the ARU second division provincial championship game. Plus, our U15 boys and U19 boys played in the Edmonton Rugby Union championship finals. Three Nor'Wester teams in championship finals is a superb accomplishment and one we should be very proud of!

Let's enjoy our accomplishments and then start our planning and organization for the next rugby season. We are building a strong rugby foundation and next season we will be playing our home games on our own Nor'Westers fields. In conclusion, well done and thank you to all club players and coaches.

After each game, I want to be able to say: I gave it all I could, I gave it my best!

Congratulations to the U15 and U19 Boys.
